Sonja Piel

Sonja Piel has 20 years of experiences in banking and IT. She holds a University Degree in Mathematics and Philosophy and has worked in software development, application support, data warehousing and system integration as well as different areas of business analysis. Sonja strongly believes in an agile way of working. As a Business Analyst and Consultant in various agile projects she learnt to successfully navigate the inevitable challenges along the way.

Against the background of rising regulatory demands and the changing business environment in today’s VUCA-World, Sonja has been applying her expertise in complex lending to come up with tangible solutions. In addition to her consultancy work in lending and IT, Sonja is co-founder of a fintech start-up. Smart Data Hub has been developing a framework which is designed to ensure maximum quality, user experience, and integration with other systems – and to staying ahead in challenging times. Core elements are a technical and a functional library to provide lending (business) logic out-of-the-box, a pre-condition to turn business analysis directly into working code wherever possible.
