The BA-DAY 2020 will be postponed by more than one year due to the spread of the coronavirus!
UPDATES IN BOLD – Further postponing the BA-DAY
Dear BA Experts and Professionals,
The BA-DAY 2020 will be postponed by more than one year due to the spread of the coronavirus!
The massive spread of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 – the WHO now classifies the COVID-19 epidemic as a pandemic – forces us to take drastic measures:
Due to the recommendations and orders of various health authorities, the Robert Koch Institute and the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Health, as well as the fact that we can no longer guarantee your full safety at the conference, we are forced to postpone the BA-DAY of 14-15 May 2020 by more than one year, to September 23rd and 24th 2021 (Thursday and Friday)
We regret this and are very sad.
Since our speakers, sponsors and many other people involved in the BA-DAY have already invested a lot of heart, commitment and work, we have decided to postpone (and not cancel) the 3rd BA-DAY.
The postponement has the advantage that all (or at least most) of the ideas and efforts already made can be realized at a later date. The topic “Closing the gaps with Business Analysis” remains. We want to keep this topic alive and would be very happy to explore it further over the next 12 months. We encourage all planned speakers, workshop leaders, sponsors and exhibitors to present their contributions to the BA community exactly one year later.
This means that we would not publish a new Call for Papers, but would keep the program in its current form (probably with some necessary adjustments).
And why are we postponing the BA-DAY more than one year? We think that the vaccination processes which are globally starting end of 2020 will take some months and we are optimistic that the situation in late summer 2021 is much better than in spring. Therefore we have decided to postpone the BA-DAY, now the 3rd BA-DAY 2021, by a whole year under the motto “Closing the gaps with Business Analysis”. As usual, the event will take place at the Mercure Helfmannpark Hotel in Frankfurt/Eschborn, next year 2021, September 23rd for the workshops and Friday, 24.09.2021 for the main conference.
All tickets will remain valid, contracts can principally remain as they are, for all such agreements just the date has to be adapted by a short amendment. For tickets, nothing needs to changed, just change the date in your diary und use your existing ticket. Speakers and sponsors will be approached by us in the coming days.
We are aware that this case of force majeure will result in financial losses for some of you – as well as for us. We are very sorry for this and we hereby ask you to accept this and to bear the damages yourself. Please stay with us in these difficult times and let us overcome this worldwide crisis, we are all in this together.
If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at info@ba-day.com.
Thank you for your understanding and stay safe and healthy.
